There Will Always Be Problems

“There will always be problems.”

I’m the kind of individual that doesn’t feel comfortable until the daily tasks are accomplished, and the current “problems” are tackled. I see this in a ton of my peers & it’s as if we think the problems will simply disappear. As we know, new issues always arise.

This week, a business leader at Lessonly explained that his goal was to equip us with the ability to solve problems. His reasoning was that “there will always be new problems – we know that.” As I thought through this, I started to pull the negative stigma away from the word “problem.”

We are so focused on frantically solving all our problems, yet we would be better off focusing on the way in which we approach daily problems. This may be a simple switch of thinking from “what do I need to do to get this over with” to “how can I effectively conquer the issue at hand?”

For example, a few months ago I was struggling with how to reach online retailers to take interest in Slab Outdoors. Now, I’m struggling to make shipping prices work with retail margins. Conquering one obstacle only led to another & that’s the beauty of life. For me, it’s comforting to hear there will always be problems because I can begin to hyper-focus on how I approach them! I hope this provides a level of comfort for you as well.
