A New Thanksgiving

This year, Thanksgiving is quite odd. Personally, much of my family is unable to be with us and it’s just my parents & I at home. This day is known to be full of people and it’ll be quite the opposite for most of us. Honestly, I usually enjoy the chaos of Thanksgiving and will miss the interactions with individuals I don’t see often.

Despite that, I have been thinking about how every past Thanksgiving has seemed kind of the same. Every year is nice and a day I look forward to, but they run together. There’s no doubt that we will remember this year and I think that’s valuable. People come together when times are tough, whether we are physically with one another or not.

I’ll miss the large family gatherings today, but I’ll surely remember talking business with my dad and drinking German beer with my mom. No matter the circumstances, enjoy the day!
